What is the Chacrona Amazon Project?

The name Chacrona comes from an Amazonian jungle leaf used by indigenous tribes to connect body and soul. This project was born out of a deep commitment to preserving the Amazon rainforest and supporting its communities—the true guardians. In 2021, Satorisan, in collaboration with the NGO Guardianes de Vida, signed an agreement with the Huni Kuĩ Indigenous People of Praia do Carapana.

TOGETHER WITH THE HUNI KUĨ PEOPLE, WE WORK TO RESTORE AND PROTECT THE AMAZON RAINFOREST BY REPLANTING NATIVE TREES IN DEFORESTED AND AT-RISK AREAS.

SINCE THE BEGINNING, WE HAVE ESTABLISHED TWO NURSERIES TO CULTIVATE SEEDLINGS. THESE NURSERIES EMPOWER THE COMMUNITY TO TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN REFORESTATION, MANAGING EVERY STAGE OF THE PROCESS FROM SEED TO TREE.

In October 2024, our CEO & Founder traveled to the heart of the Amazon to witness the project’s progress firsthand and connect with the indigenous community.

Our commitment to the Huni Kuĩ community is based on five principles aimed at preserving their ecosystem.

Future Insights

Today, we continue working closely with the Huni Kuĩ people to protect their land, support their cultural heritage and well-being, and foster a thriving future. We have renewed our agreement and strengthened our commitment with new goals dedicated to protecting la Floresta—the Amazon rainforest.
