More information
Hatko, the Kachina that brings wood, inspires this model, which pays tribute to the classic skate shoes of the 1970s. The XXL eyelets and the long, unique laces give it a semi-formal style and a unique personality. The SunKachina construction and its unique width result in a distinctive, singular volume. Crafted with the finest-quality suede, this sneaker suits the autumn-winter season beautifully.
Daily care:
To help your Satorisan age beautifully, we recommend alternating their use and letting them rest between wears. This allows the materials to recover their shape and release any accumulated moisture. If that's not possible, we recommend airing them overnight.
If your sneakers get wet in the rain, dry them with care:
1. Clean and dry the surface with a cloth.
2. Remove the insoles and stuff the shoes with paper to absorb moisture. Let them air-dry in a well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
3. Avoid aggressive heat sources (hairdryers or similar), as they can alter their natural shape.
Other recommendations:
- Never tumble dry them or leave them in direct sunlight, as excessive heat can damage the materials and cause the leather to crack.
- Although we work closely with the IBV* to ensure exceptional comfort, every foot is unique. That's why it's perfectly normal for a new pair to need a few days to adapt to your feet. With every step, the leather becomes softer and the sole gradually moulds to your way of walking, creating an increasingly personal and comfortable fit. If you feel any rubbing or slight discomfort during the first few days, we recommend wearing socks until your sneakers have naturally adapted to your feet.
*All our shoes are designed in collaboration with the IBV (Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia) to ensure that, even after walking 20 kilometres, taking them off is the last thing on your mind.
Washing Instructions:
Machine washable to keep them looking as good as new. Just follow these recommendations:
- Before putting them in the washing machine, gently brush the upper and the sole with a soft-bristled brush to remove any excess dust or dirt. This helps prevent dirt from becoming embedded during the wash and keeps them in better condition for everyday wear.
- Remove the laces and/or the removable insoles, if applicable.
- Use a mild detergent and select a short, cold wash cycle (max. 24°C / 75.2°F).
Our materials are respectful of nature and thus contribute to reducing our footprint on the planet.
- Gold-Rated cow leathers and suede by Leather Working Group (LWG).
- 100% organic cotton.

- Laces made in RPET + Nylon and Waxed cotton.

Project Inspiration
SunKachina is a sacred figure in Hopi culture. It embodies the energy and power of the sun and is credited with the ability to bring light, warmth, and life to the Earth. The light that SunKachina projects reminds us of the way Satori reads and guides our hearts. Though they come from different sources, they both converge in the light they radiate.
Made for the sun, full of life.
The Hopi, an indigenous tribe of Arizona, carried the sacred duty of protecting Earth and its beings, embodying peace, kindness, and truth. Their message: by reconnecting with our essence and following our hearts, we can unlock a paradise. At Satorisan, we share this belief, inspiring the world to live by the heart, with humility and respect for people and the planet.
Project Fundamentals
We are committed to caring for you—starting with your feet. SunKachina was born from the idea of a sandal that mimics walking barefoot, ensuring flexibility, breathability, and grip. It’s developed in three parts—insole, last, and sole. Plus, the insole is designed in collaboration with the IBV (Biomechanics Institute of Valencia), with exclusive anatomy for men and women based on 3D models of feet from different populations.
